Food Technology Teacher Supportive Secondary School in Liverpool

A supportive secondary school in Liverpool is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join its Design and Technology department on a full-time basis with an ASAP start. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys practical engaging lessons and is committed to helping students develop both their technical knowledge and confidence.

The successful Food Technology Teacher will deliver well-planned lessons across KS3 to KS5 with a strong focus on practical skills food preparation nutrition and the wider principles of Food Technology.

You will be expected to:

• Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons

• Teach Food Technology across the relevant key stages

• Develop students creativity independence and practical skills

• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom safety

• Support students in achieving strong academic and practical outcomes

• Contribute positively to the wider Design and Technology department

The school is looking for a passionate Food Technology Teacher with strong subject knowledge and a positive approach to teaching. The ideal candidate will be confident managing practical lessons and creating an environment where students are encouraged to experiment develop new skills and take pride in their work.

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent

• Strong knowledge of Food Technology

• Experience teaching at secondary level

• Excellent classroom management skills

• A commitment to safeguarding and student development

• Strong organisational and communication skills
