FitterTurner Training Delivery Instructor

Full-time role 37.5 hours a week on a term time only basis

HMS Sultan Portsmouth

Due to the nature of this role you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

What youll be doing

• Deliver hands-on workshop training in fitting turning milling and general engineering skills
• Demonstrate techniques guide trainees and help them build confidence on the tools
• Support learners working towards recognised engineering qualifications
• Maintain workshop equipment and ensure safe working practices
• Share your real-world experience to bring learning to life

What were looking for

Were not looking for teachers were looking for engineers.

Youll need (essential):

• A recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent experience) in fitting/turning or mechanical engineering
• Strong recent hands-on workshop experience
• Skills across machining fitting milling grinding
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Nice to have (but not essential):

• Any experience coaching mentoring or helping others learn
• CAD knowledge

No teaching experience No problem well fully train and support you.
