Fitter Vehicle Body Installation Technician

Our client a well-established engineering company in Northern Ireland is seeking an experienced Fitter / Vehicle Body Installation Technician to join its growing team. This role involves the installation and fitting of lorry-mounted equipment and hydraulic systems for commercial vehicles.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with mechanical fitting hydraulic electrical or commercial vehicle experience who are looking for long-term employment with a reputable employer.

• Install lorry-mounted loader equipment hook loaders and skip loader systems to commercial vehicles

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and installation manuals

• Carry out fitting and assembly of hydraulic and 24V electrical components

• Work efficiently with production schedules and deadlines

• Ensure all work is completed to a high quality and safety standard

• Work closely with engineers and production staff to improve installation processes

• Maintain a clean organised and safe working environment

• Previous experience in a similar mechanical fitting or installation role

• A good understanding of hydraulic and/or 24V electrical systems would be advantageous

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
