The Role
We are seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join our growing Fire Safety team. This is an excellent opportunity for a competent and customer-focused professional who is passionate about fire safety and compliance. Youll undertake fire risk assessments across a variety of commercial industrial and residential properties providing clients with practical guidance and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fire risk assessments in accordance with current legislation standards and best practice guidance.
- Identify and highlight fire safety risks providing clear recommendations and escalating high-risk concerns where appropriate.
- Produce review and quality check detailed fire risk assessment reports.
- Liaise with clients professionally providing technical advice and support throughout the assessment process.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all assessment data is uploaded correctly to SGS digital systems.
- Travel to client sites as required and support business needs through occasional out-of-hours or weekend working.
Qualifications :
Competency Requirements
- Holds Level 3 / 4 preferred qualification in Fire Risk Assessment or Fire Safety
- Registered with a recognised professional body (IFE / IFSM / FRACS)
- Minimum 5 years demonstrable experience in fire risk assessment
- Competent to the highest risk tier of FRA undertaken (Tier 13) complex and industrial buildings
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and guidance (PAS 79 RRO 2005)
- Skilled in independent technical review and audit of FRA reports
