Fire Alarm Installation Engineer

At Alpha Fire Alarms were recruiting a Fire Alarm Installation Engineer to join our team across the Southeast/London area.

This role focuses on the installation and delivery of fully compliant fire alarm and life safety systems across a variety of commercial and retail projects. The position suits a technically strong engineer with excellent problem-solving ability strong communication skills and experience working across fire detection systems within a range of environments.

Heres a look at some of the things youll be doing:

• Carrying out installation and commissioning of fire alarm and life safety systems across a range of sites ensuring all work is completed to a high standard within agreed timescales and in line with specifications
• Identifying and resolving issues efficiently reporting any deviations between installation and specification to supervisors or management and ensuring minimal disruption to clients
• Completing all documentation accurately and on time including site paperwork timesheets and expenses while promoting and maintaining high standards of health and safety on site
• Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a professional company image while working across commercial and retail environments

Can you show experience in some of these areas

• Experience with conventional and analogue addressable fire alarm systems with a strong understanding of BS 5839-1 & 6 and relevant industry experience (13 years minimum) with a proactive and flexible approach
• Knowledge of air sampling systems such as Vesda or Wagner and experience working with fire alarm software such as Morley Kentec Advanced Notifier or Gent
• Experience in fire alarm installation within commercial and retail environments with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and work away when required with strong organisational time management and multitasking skills alongside excellent communication and customer-facing skills
