Job Summary

The Financial Counsellor supports individuals experiencing financial hardship by providing counselling advocacy information and practical assistance to help them make informed financial decisions and improve their financial wellbeing. The role also supports financial capability initiatives delivers tailored financial literacy and money management support to clients from diverse backgrounds and works collaboratively with carers care recipients families and community services to strengthen referral pathways and access to support.

- Experience providing financial counselling case management advocacy and client support.
- Strong communication engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work with diverse and vulnerable clients including those with complex needs.
- Experience developing referral networks and working collaboratively with community services.
- Strong organisational administrative and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current Victorian Driver Licence.
