About the role:
The role is to work with our clients in their business this could be within a variety of industries including professional services manufacturing retail/wholesale construction technology or media. The basics in the finance function are covered but there is a need for an experienced and commercially-minded Financial Controller to lead the finance function and help move the business forward on a part-time basis.
About You:
You should be a qualified and experienced Financial Controller with experience working in growing SMEs. Ideally you are already self-employed and available quickly with at least 2 days of availability per week.
Your expertise should include:
management accounts
balance sheet reconciliations
budgets cashflow and profit forecasting
experience and working knowledge of Xero
experience of managing and leading a small team
experienced in assessing and implementing appropriate financial controls
year-end processes (but not statutory accounts)
experienced excel user including pivots sumifs and graphs
proficiency in presenting financial and commercial information to non-financial leaders
you must be fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACMA/FCCA/ICAEW) or QBE (5 years) with experience managing a finance team
As this role is two days a week (self employed basis) it could work alongside other client work
Rate of pay: 35 per hour
Location: Leeds & Surrounding areas - Onsite 2 days p/week
