Financial Analyst, Amazon Freight EU

Amazon Freight Europe is seeking a highly analytical and data driven Finance Analyst to join our Finance Strategy & Business Partnering team as we scale our external freight business.

Amazon Freight is in an exciting growth phase delivering full truckload and palletised freight across the UK and EU using Amazons proprietary this high-impact role youll serve as the strategic finance partner to our Operations Supply and Product teamsowning long-term planning driving profitability and accelerating customer growth. Your insights will directly shape senior leadership decisions as we build a sustainable rapidly scaling business.

The ideal candidate combines commercial acumen with operational curiositysomeone who can quickly master our end-to-end business model and confidently challenge senior leaders with data-driven insights.


Key job responsibilities
This position requires a broad set of skills to be successful that range from high level strategic thinking to deep-dive analytical problem solving. Specifically:

Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop budgets and forecasts analyse variances and deliver data-driven recommendations to optimize resource allocation and drive performance.
Trusted Advisor: Build strong relationships with leaders in Operations and Product becoming their go-to finance partner
Constructive Challenge: Demonstrate backbonehold senior leaders accountable and ensure we prioritise long-term value creation over short-term gains
Insight Generation: Deliver actionable insights on operations market segments products and pricingalways asking why to uncover root causes

- Speak write and read fluently in English
- Can demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills
- Can demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet tools
- Experience in data interpretation and analysis to influence stakeholders
- Experience using financial models KPIs and data analysis to inform business decisions with proven business impact (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) or experience in commercial finance business partnering or FP&A

- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA ACCA CIMA CPA or equivalent)
- Experience developing financial models in Excel with advanced functions (pivot tables macros VBA Power Query)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Workday)
- Experience in transportation or supply chain
- Experience deriving insights from big data using SQL and manipulating/processing data with Python
