What You Can Expect:

As an Associate Director in our Finance Transformation practice you willbe responsible forbuilding and managing a portfolio of client relationshipsoriginatingand converting new business opportunities and overseeing the successful delivery of engagements across the practice. You willoperateas a subject matter expert and trusted adviser to C-suitestakeholders andwill playa central rolein shaping the direction capability and market profile of the BPI Finance Transformation team.

You will work across a diverse client base spanning PE-backed businesses mid-market and FTSE-listed corporates and large organisations in financial services real estate energy and professional services. This is a role for someone who combines deep technical credibility in Finance Transformation with the commercial drive and relationship capital to build a sustainable book of business and the leadership presence to develop a high-performing team beneath them.

The work

You will originate design and oversee the delivery of engagements across a range of Finance Transformation projects including:

• Shared services centre (SSC) transitions and outsourcing readiness including process standardisation roles and responsibilities design and go-live support

• Finance target operating model design covering people process technology data and controls across P2P O2C and R2R

• Finance process optimisation and efficiency reviews including current-state diagnostics gap analysis and improvement roadmaps

• FP&A and performance reporting transformation including planning process redesign management information improvement and budgeting and forecasting optimisation

• Automation and technology enablement including RPA business case development process mining and ERP-adjacent transformation

• AI in Finance assessments and implementation readiness including use case prioritisation and business case development finance copilot readiness agentic automation opportunity assessment and AI governance and controls design within a finance function context

• Finance function benchmarking and maturity assessments against industry best practice

• Post-acquisition finance integration and carve-out support particularly relevant to our PE-backed client base

Key responsibilities:

Business development and client relationships

• Own and actively develop a portfolio of client relationships at C-suite level including CFOs CEOs and Private Equityoperatingpartners converting relationships intopipelineopportunitiesand pipelineopportunitiesinto revenue

• Lead business development activity across the Finance Transformation practice including originating opportunities shaping propositions leadingcredentialsand pitch meetings and closing engagements

• Lead the development of proposals and bid materials working with Managing Directors and the wider BPI team to present commercially compelling and technically credible responses

• Develop andmaintaina strong professional network in the UK Finance Transformation market with a demonstrabletrack recordof converting relationships into commercial outcomes

• Identifyopportunities to expand Protivitis footprint across existing client portfolios introducing broader BPI and firm-wide capabilities where relevant

• Liaise with Protiviti offices globally toleverageexisting relationships and ensure a consistent and considered approach to key accounts and market positioning

Delivery oversight

• Hold ultimate accountability for the quality commercial performance and client satisfaction of all engagements within your portfolio

• Oversee Senior Managers and Managers across active engagements providing direction challenge and support to ensure delivery meets the standard expected at a senior Protiviti level

• Serve as the senior point of escalation for complex sensitive or commercially significant client issues resolving them with confidence and preserving the client relationship

• Lead or contribute to senior client workshops and steering sessions providing subject matterexpertiseand authoritative guidance on Finance Transformation strategy and design

• Review and sign off final deliverables across your portfolio ensuring outputs areaccurate well-structured and reflect the depth ofexpertisethe practice is known for

People and practice

• Take active accountability for the development of Senior Managers Managers and the broader team creating structured development opportunities providing regular feedback andidentifyingand nurturing high-potential individuals

• Lead or contribute to recruitment activity to support the growth of the Finance Transformation practice

• Shape the culture capability and direction of the BPI Finance Transformation team in partnership with the Managing Directors

• Drive the development of Protiviti thought leadership white papers and market-facing content in the Finance Transformation space acting as a visible and credible voice in the market

Do Your Talents Include the Following

• Significant experiencein a Finance Transformation consulting environment with a demonstratedtrack recordof owning complex multi-workstream or multi-geography engagements from origination through to delivery

• An existing and active network in the UK Finance Transformation or broader CFO advisory market that can be mobilisedimmediatelyto generate pipeline

• Proven ability to originate develop and close client opportunities independently with demonstrable commercial outcomes across a range of client types and sectors

• Deep technical knowledge across multiple finance process areas including P2P O2C R2R and ideally FP&A with the credibility to advise at C-suite level across each

• Demonstrated experience leading managing and developing high-performing consulting teams including Senior Managers and Managers

• A strongtrack recordof developing and delivering proposals and bid materials with evidence of successful conversion

• Experience managing the commercial performance of a portfolio of engagements including revenue forecasting budget management and margin oversight

• The presence and credibility tooperateas an autonomous senior representative of the practice in client and market-facing settings without requiring Managing Director involvement in every interaction

• Exposure to AI in Finance projects isadvantageous including use case development and prioritisation copilot or agentic tool assessment AI readiness programmes or AI governance and controls design in a finance context; broader experience with finance automation tools such as RPA and process mining is also relevant

• Experience with FP&A processes planning tools or performance reporting transformation isadvantageousbut not essential

• ACA CIMA or equivalent professional qualification isadvantageousbut not essential

• Exceptional written communication and presentation skills with a proven ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders
