Financial Accuracy: Measure the accuracy of financial transactions and reporting within the shared services function evaluating the rate of errors or discrepancies and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Timeliness of Financial Transactions: Assess the timeliness of financial transactionprocessing including accounts payable andreceivable payroll and financial reportingensuring that deadlines and required timelinesare met.
Stakeholder Satisfaction: Collect feedback from internal stakeholders on the quality and effectiveness of financial services provided by the shared services function evaluating satisfaction levels responsiveness and overall experience.
Financial Controls and Compliance: Assess the effectiveness of financial controls ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements accounting standards and internal policies. Monitor the number and severity of compliance issues or audit findings taking corrective actions as necessary.
Financial Reporting Quality: Assess the accuracy completeness and timeliness of financial reports and statements ensuring they meet required standards and provide accurate insights for decision-making.
Effective Human Capital Management: Staff retention and High-performance culture.
Requirements
CA (SA) qualification.
Eight (8) years experience in finance and accounting roles including experience in financial operations shared services or similar environments.
Track record of having worked in a scientific research environment with an understanding of the agricultural sector.
Practical knowledge of leading management and business practices.
Ability to manage teams across geographic spread and varied research commodities.
MBA will be advantageous.
