Finance Officer – Islington | Flexible Temporary School Roles

Were regularly contacted by schools across Islington that need experienced finance staff at short notice.

This could be to cover sickness provide additional support during busy periods or help a finance team manage increased workloads. Were therefore looking to register Finance Officers with previous school experience who are available for immediate temporary assignments.

Depending on the school responsibilities may include:

• Processing invoices and purchase orders

• Raising and processing payments

• Maintaining accurate financial records

• Supporting budget monitoring

• Processing staff expenses

• Assisting with payroll administration

• Reconciling accounts and transactions

• Dealing with supplier and parent queries

• Producing financial reports and spreadsheets

• Providing general support to the schools finance team

Previous school-based finance experience is essential. Youll need to be comfortable working with confidential financial information and able to quickly understand a schools systems and processes.

Candidates must have:

• A clear DBS

• DBS registered on the Update Service or issued within the past 6 months

• Previous experience working in a school

• Good Excel and finance system skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Good organisational skills

• The flexibility to accept full-time or part-time assignments

Experience with PS Financials FMS Sage or similar finance systems would be advantageous.

Assignments may range from short sickness cover to longer-term temporary work giving you the flexibility to choose opportunities that fit around your availability.
