Perhaps their Finance Manager is unexpectedly absent the finance team needs additional support during a busy period or they simply need an experienced pair of hands for a short-term project.
Whatever the reason were looking to register experienced School Finance Managers who are available for temporary assignments.
Assignments could involve:
Managing the schools day-to-day finance function
Budget monitoring and financial reporting
Managing purchase orders invoices and payments
Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Supporting payroll processes
Managing school finance systems
Preparing financial information for senior leadership
Supporting audits and year-end processes
Managing or supervising finance administration staff
Ensuring financial procedures and controls are followed
You must have previous experience working within a school finance environment and be confident taking responsibility for the finance function with minimal supervision.
Candidates will need:
A clear DBS
DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 6 months
Previous school-based finance experience
Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge
Excellent organisational and communication skills
The ability to work independently and quickly understand a schools processes
Flexibility to work full-time or part-time
Knowledge of school finance systems such as FMS PS Financials or similar would be useful.
Our schools regularly approach us when they need immediate finance cover or additional support so temporary assignments can become available at short notice.
