Finance Manager Financial Reporting

What youll do

• Play a key role in managing the end-to-end audit process from planning through to completion. This includes coordinating deliverables tracking audit actions and supporting the resolution of audit findings. The role helps ensure a smooth well-organised and transparent audit experience across half-year hard close and year-end reporting cycles.
• Oversee the preparation and review of statutory accounts for multiple entities ensuring compliance with FRS 101 and relevant regulatory requirements. Support the delivery of accurate high-quality financial reporting while collaborating with stakeholders across the business.
• Review critical reporting areas and support the timely preparation and submission of quarterly and annual Group reporting requirements. Contribute to the accuracy completeness and integrity of financial information provided to the Group.
• Lead the balance sheet review and control process overseeing monthly and quarterly balance sheet reviews. Analyse key balance sheet movements and risks ensuring appropriate reconciliations are completed and governance standards are maintained.
• Promote a strong controls environment across the team and wider Finance function. Support compliance with SOX requirements through the execution monitoring and reporting of key financial controls. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work collaboratively with stakeholders on control-related matters.
• Support strategic Finance initiatives and transformation programmes including process improvements automation opportunities evolving accounting standards reporting requirements Finance transformation activities and control enhancement projects. Contribute ideas that help improve efficiency effectiveness and the overall employee experience.

Qualifications :

What youll bring 

• Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with significant experience in audit accounting advisory or financial reporting.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge including IFRS and FRS 101 reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence engaging senior leaders and external advisors.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to coordinate priorities across multiple teams.
• Proactive approach to identifying and supporting the resolution of accounting reporting and audit-related matters.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
