The Finance Data Issues Management team is responsible for all aspects of governance around data issues including the production of metrics and reporting for management working with issue owners to accurately document the data issue and running controls to ensure policy standards are met.
The Finance Data team is growing in Glasgow presenting a great opportunity for the successful candidate to help shape the function going forward gain exposure to a wide range of functions and products across Morgan Stanley and develop a network across the firm.
The successful candidate will work with colleagues in Glasgow as well as global Finance Technology Operations and other business units.
This is an Associate level position within our Data Management Job Family which is responsible for supporting data management across Finance including data sourcing execution of data quality controls data issues management & data governance.
In the Finance division we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management review analysis and advisory services of the Firms financial and capital resources. This is an Associate level position within the Data Management job family.

What youll do in the role:
-Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
-Responsible for both individual and team deliverables and projects leveraging knowledge of Finance functional area tools and/or products
-Adhere to the Firms risk and regulatory standards policies and controls
-Act as a culture carrier; embody the Firms values and hold yourself accountable to Firm standards
-Working with global colleagues to build and document internal processes and controls in relation to data issues management procedures
-Liaising with Finance data issue owners to ensure completeness and accuracy of reporting around data issues
-Preparing high quality materials for multiple internal forums as well as for internal senior management
-Identifying opportunities for ongoing improvement via automation
What youll bring to the role:
-Working knowledge of Finance functional area industry and competitive environment
-Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and adapt to various audiences
-Willingness to seek guidance and provide feedback to further develop self and peers
-Self-motivated with the ability to work consistently and efficiently to achieve goals either as an individual or as part of a team.
-Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and ability to engage with colleagues/clients of all levels.
-Highly numerate with an attention to detail and accuracy.
-Strong Excel skills.
-Experience of Alteryx and AI Tools would be desirable.
-Understanding and experience of Data Governance and/or Data Issues Management is desirable.
-At least 2 years relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
