On July 1 2025 IPL Plastics merged with Schoeller Allibert to form IPL Schoeller (the company). The Companys operations are split across North America (11 manufacturing plants) and Europe (16 manufacturing plants).

IPL Schoeller is a leading manufacturer of sustainable rigid packaging solutions across a range of end market segments including returnable transit packaging consumer and industrial packaging environmental containers and agricultural packaging. The role

The role is required for Logtek Ltd (part of IPL Schoeller Group) a UK based company formed in 1996. Logtek provides logistics and operational services for the control and management of returnable transit packaging (RTP) principally plastic trays and bulk containers as used in the grocery and retail supply chain.

Logteks core functions are:

- Hygienic tray washing via industrial machinery processes

- RTP Rental services

- Equipment repair

- Asset Management of our customers RTP utilising bespoke and innovative technology

As Finance Business Partner you will be responsible for preparing detailed management accounts for the company in-line with revenue and contract income for the business. You will oversee the weekly cashflow and reporting to Group prepare forecast analyse data and suggest best practice for controlling cost.

The role will be based from Logteks Head Office in Quinton Birmingham. The hours of work are from 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

Main Duties:

Promoting strong financial and cost control (Including high emphasis on both labour reporting and overhead apportionment)

Weekly 13-week cash flow forecasts (Reporting into the Treasury software platform Coupa)

Maintain full reconciliation of Company Bank Accounts and be one of the primary signatories

Monthly balance sheet reconciliation and balance sheet control (Accruals Prepayments Deferred Income Fixed Assets)

Monthly reconciliation and calculation of the M&S contractual revenues and handling fee (New Build)

Provide accurate monthly depot running costs for onward reporting by M&S KAM

Control of the accounts reporting system (IFS)

Prepare Monthly / Quarterly / Annual forecasts / Budgets (as required)

Liaise with Departmental and Depot Managers in maintaining Budgetary controls and apportionments.

Control of Purchase Orders

Liaise with external and internal auditors in completing statutory accounts and tax provisioning.

Financial support to facilitate reporting requirements of business partners

Prepare Capital Expenditure requests (minimal)

Completion and submission of VAT returns to HMRC

Identification of risks and opportunities within the business to give clear direction and support when understanding variances

Produce detailed analysis and reconciliation of actual transactions against expected forecast for inclusion in monthly report packs

Support the Regional Business Controller with analysis and provision of Management Information and monthly reporting

Ad-hoc duties as required

Stand-in for Regional Business Controller if required

What you will bring to the role:

Essential

  • Excel (Advanced)

  • Word (Intermediate Level)

  • Outlook (email) Microsoft 365

  • Studying or qualified with one of the main accountancy bodies

Desirable

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

  • 3 years PQE

Skills & Knowledge

Essential

  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)

  • Knowledge of UK Tax legislation (Direct / Indirect)

  • UK GAAP / IFRS Reporting exposure

  • Strong data handling interrogation with great attention to detail

  • Ability to analyse and interpret financial information

  • ERP accounting software exposure

Desirable

  • HFM (Hyperion) / Smart View Group reporting software

  • ERP (iScala/IFS)
