This is an exciting opportunity for someone at the very start of their career eager to build a career in finance and become a qualified accountant. You dont need any formal work experience.
Heres how it works: this is a six week paid internship and were running it with the intention of hiring permanently at the end of it. That means were looking for someone whos ready to start their career now and can commit full time going forward - this isnt a placement to do between university years.

Youll work directly with experienced professionals whove built finance functions in fast growing startups learning from their expertise while gaining hands-on experience across all areas of Finance operations. Well sponsor you through your ACCA qualification giving you a structured pathway to becoming a well-rounded finance professional.
What does this role involve
Accounts Receivable Collections: Learn the AR collection process end-to-end and take ownership of it driving continuous improvement on key metrics (DSO -how long invoices take to get paid- and past due aging). Work directly with partners and cross-functional teams to resolve payment issues. Own and optimise our Collections Management system (Chaser).
Finance Operations & Onboarding: Handle daily finance admin such as our inbox and issuing credit notes. Onboard partners to our systems for accurate billing and support on VAT returns.
Accounts Payable Management: Process invoices review for policy compliance help keep the approval workflow moving and make sure the right checks happen.
Support Month-End Close Activities: Well teach you to perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations post journal entries and ensure accurate financial records to support a timely month-end close and financial reporting.
Process Improvement and Automation Initiatives: Collaborate with the wider finance and operations teams to identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls. Evaluate manual workflows and recommend automation solutions with use of technology and AI tools.
Assisting with ad-hoc finance projects reports and analysis as needed
What problems will you be solving
Scaling Without Breaking: Were growing fast and our manual processes are screaming to be fixed. Youll spot the opportunities and have a real say in what we build. Use whatever tech makes sense - AI automation or smarter workflows.
Cash Flow & Collections: Right now chasing can be manual and messy. Youll help build a better system to optimise how we chase invoices and get cash arriving faster.
Month-End Close Efficiency: We close in three days and we want to keep it that way as we grow. Youll protect that speed by spotting bottlenecks tightening reconciliations and automating manual work.

Youre Starting Out: No finance experience needed. A placement or internship is a bonus not a requirement we care much more about attitude and potential than whats on your CV.

You see things through to completion rather than passing them off and youre comfortable with repetitive tasks when needed but always thinking about how to improve or automate them.

This role isnt for you if
You dont want to spend your time chasing payments: Chasing overdue invoices is the biggest part of this role and its repetitive by nature. The best person for this job will want to get good at it and then find ways to automate it - if that doesnt appeal this isnt the right role.
You need perfect structure: You thrive in a highly structured environment where everything is set up systems are locked down and there is little room to change how things work.
Youre not willing to get hands-on: Youre not prepared to dive into the nitty gritty details or youre above doing repetitive tasks when they need doing.
You lack attention to detail: You dont spot inconsistencies or problems and youre not meticulous about quality and accuracy.
Youre not ready for ownership: You want clear instructions and someone else to take responsibility for results. You arent excited about taking on a real area of responsibility and making it better.

Final round (1h15) in Lotties office with the Finance Lead and CEO and Co-Founder
Candidate Experience:
Pre-Screen & Talent Screen: Youll receive an email notification but no specific feedback will be provided at this stage.
Case Study: If you are not successful after the assessment youll receive constructive feedback via email and be offered a debrief call with our Talent Lead.
Final Interview: For final-stage candidates who are not offered the role we will provide your feedback live via a phone call.
