Finance Assistant – Harrogate, North Yorkshire

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Finance Assistant to join an Outstanding secondary school in Harrogate. This is an excellent opportunity to support the financial operations of a high-performing school.

The successful candidate will assist with financial transactions maintain accurate records and support budgeting processes. You will work closely with the School Business Manager and wider finance team to ensure that all financial procedures are carried out efficiently and in line with regulations.

This role requires strong numerical ability attention to detail and a professional approach.

Key Responsibilities:
Process invoices and financial transactions
Maintain accurate financial records
Support budgeting and financial reporting
Liaise with suppliers and external stakeholders
Assist with procurement processes
Ensure compliance with financial procedures

Requirements:
Finance or administrative experience
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Attention to detail
Good IT skills
Organisation and time management skills
School experience (desirable)
