Field Service Engineers Midlands

As a Field Engineer youll play a vital role in supporting TOMRAs mission to transform the way the world recycleswhile always putting safety first. Whether working with equipment customers or travelling between sites youll operate in a safety-focused environment where the wellbeing of our people and customers is a top priority.

Youll help keep our technology running smoothly by maintaining repairing and optimising equipment at customer sites. This is a hands-on early-career role with a mix of planned and reactive work offering variety autonomy and strong opportunities to learn and grow in a supportive team environment. Youll be a key part of delivering a great customer experience while building your technical expertise.

What Youll Be Doing

• Install maintain and repair TOMRA reverse vending machines (RVMs) at customer locations
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues with support from experienced colleagues when needed
• Carry out both preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to ensure equipment uptime
• Support the installation and commissioning of new machines following training
• Build positive relationships with customers acting as a trusted and friendly face of TOMRA
• Work closely with retailers and site contacts to ensure a smooth and professional service experience
• Travel regularly within your region with occasional overnight stays and visits to service hubs
• Accurately record work service updates and machine status using digital tools and systems (IFS)
• Keep your van stock and equipment organised and ready for use
• Share feedback and ideas to help improve our products and processes
• Stay up to date with TOMRAs technology and continuously develop your skills

Ways of Working

• This role involves a rotating schedule (rota-based) with flexibility as the team grows
• Occasional shift or weekend work may be required over time
• Youll follow established safety procedures including TOMRA Safe and LOTO standards
• Youll be supported with training tools and a collaborative team culture

Qualifications :

• A solid foundation in electro-mechanical systems with an interest in learning how to analyse test and repair complex equipment
• A curious and solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
• A customer-focused approach with clear and confident communication skills
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider supportive team
• Flexibility to travel and manage your own schedule in a field-based role
• Full UK driving licence
