Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.

• Teach a broad range of sports and physical activities to a high standard.

• Assess monitor and track student progress effectively.

• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs and abilities of all learners.

• Create a positive purposeful and inclusive sporting environment.

• Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of high-quality PE resources.

• Support extracurricular clubs fixtures competitions and wider sporting opportunities.

• Encourage students to develop teamwork leadership resilience and confidence.

• Participate fully in departmental meetings parents evenings and wider school activities.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Physical Education Sports Science or a related subject (2:2 accepted).

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Experience teaching PE across KS3 and KS4.

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Good subject knowledge across a range of sports and physical activities.

• A passion for encouraging participation and raising achievement in PE.

• A commitment to inclusion high standards and continuous improvement.

• The ability to contribute enthusiastically to extracurricular sport and school competitions.
