Job Summary
- Family Support & Intervention
- Deliver direct support and interventions to children young people and their families.

- Recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns.

- Partnership & Multi-Agency Working
- Collaborate with social workers education professionals health services and partner agencies.
- Attend meetings reviews and case discussions.

- Home Visits & Community-Based Support
- Conduct visits to children and families in their homes and community settings.
- Monitor progress and provide practical guidance and support.
- Maintain professional relationships while ensuring child safety.

- Record Keeping & Reporting
- Maintain accurate timely and confidential case records.
- Complete reports assessments and case notes to a high standard.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.

- Knowledge
- Understanding of safeguarding children and young people.
- Knowledge of child development and family support principles.
- Awareness of challenges faced by vulnerable children and families.

- Significant experience in direct work with vulnerable children and families.
- Experience in social care education youth work or family support settings.
- Experience working with or supporting children and young people with disabilities.
- Experience in a multi-agency environment.
- Significant experience in direct work with vulnerable children and families.

- Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Childcare Health & Social Care Family Support Youth Work or a related field.
- Additional training or qualifications in safeguarding disability support or family intervention (desirable).
- Relevant qualification in Childcare Health & Social Care Family Support Youth Work or a related field.
- Immediate start available.
- Previous local authority or council experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with direct work with vulnerable children and families is essential.
- Understanding of working with children and young people with disabilities is essential.
Required Skills:
