Job Summary

3-month contract position with a local authority
Summary
  • This is a 3-month contract position with a local authority aimed at delivering targeted evidence-based interventions to children young people and families (aged 019). The role is crucial in supporting improved outcomes and preventing the escalation of needs. It involves collaboration with multi-agency partners conducting assessments and providing outcome-focused support to enhance life chances and promote safeguarding and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct holistic assessments of children young people and families using recognized tools.
  • Plan deliver and review tailored support programs to improve outcomes.
  • Provide intensive hands-on support in family homes and community settings.
  • Deliver structured interventions including group programs (e.g. parenting support) and supervised contact where required.
  • Manage a diverse and complex caseload effectively acting as Lead Professional where appropriate.
  • Work creatively and flexibly to engage families and promote positive change.
  • Maintain accurate timely and high-quality case records and reports.
  • Prepare reports for meetings case reviews and court where required.
Essential Experience
  • Experience working directly with children young people and families (019).
  • Experience managing complex caseloads and delivering targeted interventions.
  • Experience in multi-agency working within childrens services or related sectors.
Essential Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Social Care Childcare Health or a related field.
  • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

  • Working hours: 36 hours per week.
  • DBS Required.
