Basic Function: | Kent State Universitys College of Nursing invites applications for a full-time nine-month non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Lecturer beginning Fall 2026. We seek an experience student-focused educator to join our dynamic and growing nursing program. |
Additional Basic Function if applicable: | The successful candidate will primarily teach pediatric nursing in the BSN curriculum and may also teach undergraduate and graduate-level nursing courses outside the pediatric specialty as needed. |
Examples of Duties: | Duties/essential functions may include but not be limited to the following: Responsibilities include both classroom and clinical instruction with a strong commitment to nursing education at multiple levels. Teach pediatric nursing courses in the BSN program. Teach assigned graduate nursing courses within the colleges graduate curriculum. Provide high-quality instruction in both didactic and clinical settings. Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students. Participate in curriculum development evaluation and program enhancement. Collaborate with faculty and clinical partners to support student success. |

Minimum Qualifications: | Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Nurse Practitioner degree with a Pediatric Concentration (required at time of hire) Active unrestricted Ohio RN License (and NP Licensure if applicable) A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Pediatric Nursing Commitment to excellent in teaching and student engagement |
Preferred Qualifications if applicable: | Minimum of five years of Pediatric Clinical experience Experience teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels Strong communication collaboration and organizational skills Doctoral Degree (PhD or DNP) preferred |

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements: | Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally. |
