Job Summary
A well-regarded secondary school in Beeston Nottingham is seeking a dedicated Facilities Officer to join its premises team on a full-time permanent basis with an ASAP start.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and proactive individual to join a busy school where no two days are the same. Youll play an essential role in maintaining a safe secure and welcoming environment ensuring students and staff can focus on teaching and learning while the school operates efficiently behind the scenes.
Working alongside the Site Manager youll help maintain the schools buildings grounds and facilities while ensuring compliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with the opening and closing of the school site
Carrying out planned maintenance minor repairs and general DIY tasks
Responding promptly to day-to-day maintenance requests
Completing routine site inspections and reporting any issues
Supporting statutory compliance including fire safety asbestos legionella and Health & Safety checks
Liaising with contractors and monitoring maintenance works
Preparing classrooms halls and sports facilities for school events and examinations
Helping to maintain a clean safe and well-presented school environment
Supporting ongoing improvement and refurbishment projects
