As a Facilities Management Technician youll play a key role in ensuring the safe efficient and reliable operation of facilities that support important defence and security programmes. Working within our Facilities Management team youll help maintain buildings infrastructure and essential systems that enable our people to deliver critical work every day.

Day-to-day youll be required to:
- Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) carrying out scheduled inspections servicing and maintenance tasks across building fabric mechanical electrical and safety systems to ensure reliability and minimise downtime
- Respond to reactive maintenance issues diagnosing faults promptly and complete repairs efficiently to maintain safe fully operational facilities escalating complex issues where necessary.
- Support statutory compliance assisting with the completion of statutory inspections testing and servicing (e.g. fire safety systems water hygiene electrical checks) and ensure accurate logs and documentation are maintained.
- First-line repairs and minor works undertaking minor repairs adjustments and small improvement and project works to maintain high standards of building condition and functionality.
- Contractor coordination supporting the supervision and coordination of external contractors on-site providing escort and ensuring work is completed safely to specification and in line with agreed procedures.
This role is full time 37 hours per week and is based on site at Ashchurch. Working times are between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility available.
Essential experience of the Facilities Management Technician
- Proven experience in facilities or building maintenance.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation (e.g. COSHH LOLER PUWER).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues across multiple systems.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- IT literacy for using maintenance management systems (e.g. CAFM).
Qualifications for the Facilities Management Technician
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Building Services Electrical Mechanical or equivalent experience.
- Certifications such as PAT Testing Working at Height or First Aid (desirable).
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role. Must be Sole UK National.
