Fabrication Operations Manager

We are recruiting an experienced Fabrication Operations Manager to oversee the operational performance of a large scale window/door manufacturing company.

This is a key factory-based position requiring someone who can take control of production challenges identify and alleviate bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee daily aluminium fabrication and production activities.
• Manage operational problems and respond effectively to crisis situations.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement practical solutions.
• Improve production flow output and factory efficiency.
• Set monitor and maintain meaningful production KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
• Review and improve production processes and working practices.
• Check measurements and ensure products meet the required specifications.
• Monitor productivity quality output waste and rework.
• Work closely with factory teams and other departments to resolve problems.
• Introduce improvements that reduce delays and improve performance.
• Maintain high standards of quality health and safety.

The successful candidate will need:

• Strong operational management experience within a large aluminium window/door manufacturer.
• A thorough understanding of fenestration manufacturing and fabrication processes.
• Experience identifying and resolving production bottlenecks.
• A proven record of delivering measurable operational improvements.
• Experience setting and managing production KPIs.
• Strong crisis-management and decision-making skills.
• The ability to improve processes workflow and factory efficiency.
• Excellent leadership organisation and communication skills.
• The confidence to challenge existing practices and introduce more effective ways of working.
