A modern and forward-thinking academy in Reading is looking for an experienced IT Technician to join its dedicated IT support team.
Technology plays an important role across the school from classroom teaching and interactive displays to administration communication and examinations. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day technical support to staff and pupils and help ensure the schools IT systems remain reliable and accessible.
The role will involve:
Providing first-line IT support to staff and pupils.
Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
Setting up laptops desktops and other school devices.
Supporting interactive whiteboards and classroom technology.
Troubleshooting printers and connectivity issues.
Assisting staff with Microsoft 365 and user accounts.
Managing IT support requests and keeping accurate records.
Maintaining the schools IT equipment inventory.
Installing and updating software.
Supporting online examinations and assessment technology.
Assisting with network and connectivity issues.
Ensuring equipment is appropriately maintained and secured.
Previous IT support experience within a school academy or college is essential.
The school is particularly interested in candidates who understand the pace of an educational environment and are comfortable supporting both teaching and non-teaching staff.
You should have good troubleshooting skills strong communication abilities and a patient approach when supporting users.
An enhanced DBS will be required.
