Job Summary

Compassion UK is looking for an Events Operations Specialist to support the planning logistics systems and resourcing that enable our events to run with excellence.

This role is a dynamic blend of event coordination system support resource planning and practical logistics. You will help support the delivery of events and partnership activities while also contributing to the ongoing development of our volunteer management system Compassion Connect Hub. You will work closely with colleagues across Partnerships Events Advocacy and Resourcing to ensure teams advocates and event volunteers have what they need to represent Compassion well.

In this role your work will help equip our teams and advocates to serve with confidence foster meaningful supporter engagement and advance our mission of releasing children from poverty in Jesus name.

This role would suit someone who is organised practical collaborative and willing to learn. It is also a role for someone who wants their work to contribute to Compassions Christ-centred child-focused and church-based mission.

You will have the opportunity to make an impact by:


  • Supporting event logistics and delivery including planning coordination reporting and communication with key internal teams.
  • Helping ensure advocates and event teams are well resourced informed and supported before during and after events.
  • Supporting the ongoing development of Compassion Connect Hub including system configuration testing documentation and improvements to the user experience.
  • Providing practical support to the Resources and Logistics Team including event assets inventories equipment and materials.
  • Helping create high-quality resources and bespoke assets for church and event activities.

  • Good administrative and coordination skills including confidence using Microsoft Office and other systems.

  • Confidence with manual handling and the ability to support event equipment and logistics safely.
  • A collaborative team-focused approach with a willingness to support others and contribute to shared goals.
  • Creativity adaptability and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Office-based: at our office in Fleet Barley Way Hampshire GU51 2UT
Hours: 35 Hours per Peek
Contract: Fixed-term of one year
