Job Summary
The Events Logistics & Hospitality Assistant is a key member of the Catering and Hospitality team here at Malvern College supporting the successful delivery of events hospitality functions and day-to-day catering operations across the school.
A significant part of this role involves transporting food beverages equipment and supplies safely and efficiently across the site ensuring events and hospitality functions are set up and delivered to the highest standard. The role also includes assisting with event setup and breakdown room preparations and providing operational support to the Front of House team during busy periods and special events. When events are not taking place the successful candidate will work supporting the wider catering operation. Duties may include assisting with food service replenishing counters maintaining cleanliness standards washing up supporting deliveries stock movement and helping wherever required to ensure the smooth running of the department.
This is a varied and hands-on role that requires flexibility good organisational skills a positive attitude and a willingness to support all areas of the operation. The successful candidate will need to be flexible and available to work weekends and evenings depending on the events programme hospitality requirements and departmental rota. No two days are the same making it an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the preparation service and presentation of food to a high standard
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and service areas
Assist with food labelling temperature checks and allergen controls
Provide excellent customer service to pupils staff and visitors
Set up and clear service areas ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
Follow all food safety health & safety and safeguarding procedures
Contribute to hospitality events and occasional out-of-hours functions
Accountability for following and championing allergen controls

Qualifications :
Full clean manual/Automatic UK Driving Licence (essential)
Personable responsible and reliable
Experience with driving
Be physically able to do manual handling (lifting and carrying)
Enjoys working in a team but motivated to work alone
Can do attitude
Previous Hospitality experience
