Deutsche Bank Research is responsible for economic and financial analysis within Deutsche Bank Group covering asset allocation and all major industry sectors. We identify crucial trends assess market risks and opportunities and advise the Bank its clients and stakeholders. We contribute to public discourse on economic fiscal labour market and social policy issues through high-quality research.
As a Vice President/Associate within the European Securitisation Research team you will play a key role in delivering market-leading insights to asset managers and clients on European Securitisation trends. You will support the development and dissemination of impactful investment themes and respond to both internal and external client inquiries. Your responsibilities will include authoring research promoting investment views and actively marketing them to internal and external stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities
Formulate and write independent research on various European Securitisation markets with a strong emphasis on Collateralised Loan Obligations (CLOs)
Develop and publish market investment themes across a variety of European Securitisation sub-sectors with focus on Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS) and Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) and crucially CLOs
Support clients with insights into European Securitisation markets and the thematic trends that affect bond prices including specific expertise on the CLO market. Modelling and written reports will provide useful insight in client meetings
Use and develop various third-party applications and existing databases as information sources to assess the potential impact of business and financial themes on the European securitisation market with a particular focus on data relevant to CLO analysis
Your skills and experience
Strong problem-solving skills
Experience of working independently and accurately with data sets
Knowledge of fixed income and structured finance including a solid understanding of CLO structures and mechanics
Ability to understand deal indentures and knowledge of International Futures Exchange (INTEX) and Bloomberg
Database management and modelling experience using Structured Query Language (SQL) Python Visual Basics for Applications (VBA) programming languages
Interest in financial products and ability to link product performance with overall macro developments with a particular interest in and understanding of the CLO market
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity optimise workflows to solve business problems while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
