Summary:
Pembrokeshire County Council is seeking an experienced Estates Manager / Chartered Surveyor to lead the strategic and operational management of the Councils corporate property portfolio. The role will support the delivery of the Strategic Asset Management Plan provide professional property advice across the Council oversee asset valuations in accordance with CIPFA guidance and lead a team of Property Asset Managers to deliver high-quality estate management services.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of the Councils commercial and corporate property portfolio to maximise income and support strategic business objectives.
- Support internal departments through regular reviews of operational property requirements to ensure assets remain fit for purpose and deliver value for money.
- Prepare and present professional reports business cases valuations and recommendations for senior management Cabinet committees and elected members.
- Lead supervise and support Property Asset Managers (Surveyors) ensuring effective workload allocation performance management and professional development.
- Undertake any additional duties commensurate with the grade and responsibilities of the post.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Estate Management Real Estate Property Management Surveying or a related discipline (essential).
- Chartered Surveyor status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) (MRICS/FRICS) (essential).
Essentials:
- Significant post-qualification experience in commercial estate management or corporate property management.
- Proven experience in landlord and tenant matters including lease negotiations rent reviews lease renewals assignments licences acquisitions and disposals.
- Experience undertaking or overseeing property valuations in accordance with CIPFA guidance and RICS professional standards.
- Expert knowledge of commercial estate management and property legislation.
- Strong understanding of landlord and tenant law lease management valuation principles and asset management.
