Escalator Engineer

Here at The Escalator Company were looking for an experienced Escalator Engineer to join our growing team supporting a portfolio of over 400 escalators and travelators across the UK. We work with major clients including Tesco Asda Ikea and many other well-known high street retailers delivering servicing inspections repairs and refurbishment projects nationwide.

This role would suit a qualified Escalator Engineer with a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (Escalator Service & Repair) who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and expanding organisation.

Heres a look at some of the things youll be doing:

• Carrying out routine servicing inspections and safety checks on escalators and travelators across our customer portfolio
• Using diagnostic testing to identify faults defects and malfunctions then repairing or replacing defective components
• Completing service reports and documentation for each site visited detailing work completed and any further actions required
• Depending on experience undertaking escalator and travelator refurbishment work while ensuring all safety procedures are followed on site

Can you show experience in some of these areas:

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (Escalator Service & Repair) or equivalent qualification
• Strong ability to identify and resolve technical mechanical and re-wiring issues on escalator systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently across multiple sites
• Commitment to safe working practices and ongoing online training to maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance
