Job Summary
A supportive secondary school in Newcastle is looking to appoint a passionate and committed English Teacher to join its dedicated English department on a full-time basis starting ASAP.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about English and wants to inspire students to develop their literacy creativity and critical thinking skills within a positive school environment.
The successful English Teacher will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 to KS5 helping students make strong academic progress while developing a genuine appreciation of the subject.
Key responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering high-quality English lessons across KS3 KS4 and KS5
Preparing students for GCSE and A Level examinations
Differentiating lessons to support students of varying abilities
Monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback
Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement
Working collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider English department
The school is seeking an English Teacher who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent teaching qualification
Has experience teaching English within a secondary school
Can confidently teach across KS3 to KS5
Has strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills
Is committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment
Works well as part of a collaborative team
