You will teach English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 delivering a curriculum that develops students reading writing analysis and communication skills.

At KS3 you will teach a varied programme of literature and language including fiction poetry non-fiction and creative writing. At GCSE you will prepare students for English Language and Literature examinations developing their ability to analyse texts and construct detailed written responses.

The school is looking for someone who can create purposeful lessons where students are encouraged to participate question texts and develop their own ideas. You will assess work regularly provide clear feedback and use assessment information to identify areas for further development.

There may also be opportunities to support literacy initiatives reading programmes and extracurricular English activities.

The salary for this English Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS depending on experience and qualifications.
