The successful candidate will teach English across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that develop students reading writing analytical and communication skills.
Students study a broad and ambitious curriculum encompassing Shakespeare classic and contemporary literature poetry drama creative writing and language analysis. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level English Literature and English Language examinations while fostering confidence curiosity and critical thinking.
You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through book clubs creative writing workshops theatre visits debating societies and enrichment opportunities that inspire students beyond the classroom.
Teach English across KS3 KS4 and KS5

Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching English at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in English Literature and Language
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level English Literature and/or Language
Experience leading literacy initiatives or enrichment activities
Ability to contribute to debating drama or creative writing programmes
A proven track record of delivering excellent student outcomes
