A high-performing secondary school in Newcastle is looking for an enthusiastic English Teacher to join its established English Department as soon as possible.

The school has high expectations for its pupils and is looking for a teacher who can deliver engaging English lessons build positive relationships with students and contribute to the continued success of the department.

You will teach English across KS3 and KS4 helping students develop their skills in reading writing analysis and communication.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging English lessons

• Teaching across a range of abilities

• Preparing students for GCSE examinations

• Assessing and tracking pupil progress

• Providing appropriate challenge and support

• Supporting curriculum development

• Working collaboratively with the wider English team

• Contributing to the wider life of the school

Were looking for a qualified English Teacher with strong subject knowledge and previous secondary school experience.

You should be confident teaching English through KS4 have good classroom management skills and be able to create a positive learning environment.

Experience teaching GCSE English Language and Literature would be highly desirable.
