English Teacher

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of English to join a successful and motivated faculty in our school. As part of this professional and dedicated team you will be instrumental in inspiring and motivating our students connecting what they learn in English to their everyday lives. Our forward-thinking faculty takes a collaborative and supportive approach to the development of its staff and you will play a key role in continuing to raise standards.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic and energetic practitioner with high expectations be passionate about their subject and able to inspire and motivate students. They must be committed to the highest standards of teaching and learning through lesson planning and careful assessment.

The English Faculty at Greig City Academy is creative committed collegial and very strong. We believe we work better for our students when we work as a team: we share resources support one anothers development and contribute ideas to improve and inspire each other. We also strongly believe in the Academys desire to incorporate extra-curricular opportunities to forge relationships expand the curriculum and broaden opportunities for students to engage with English as a subject. There is much scope here to develop in such a way. The English Faculty includes English and Media up to A Level Whole School Literacy and English as an Additional Language.
