An inclusive comprehensive school in Grays is seeking a committed English Teacher to join its successful English department immediately. The successful candidate will be passionate about developing literacy confidence and communication skills across a range of abilities.
Deliver engaging English lessons: Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Develop literacy: Support students with reading writing spelling vocabulary and comprehension.
Promote oracy: Encourage confident speaking discussion and presentation skills.
Prepare examination groups: Deliver structured lessons and revision activities for GCSE students.
Differentiate effectively: Adapt resources and teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.
Support progress: Use assessment information to identify gaps and provide targeted intervention.
English specialist: Has strong subject knowledge across Language and Literature.
Qualified teacher: Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Inclusive practitioner: Can support students with different abilities and educational needs.
Strong communicator: Builds positive relationships and explains ideas clearly.
Excellent organiser: Plans purposeful lessons and maintains accurate assessment records.
