The successful candidate will teach English Language and English Literature across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students of all abilities.

Students study a rich and diverse curriculum encompassing classic and contemporary literature poetry drama fiction and non-fiction from a broad range of authors and cultures. You will support students in developing advanced reading writing speaking and analytical skills while preparing them for GCSE and A-Level examinations.

Beyond the classroom you will contribute to curriculum development and a vibrant programme of enrichment including creative writing clubs theatre visits author events debating competitions public speaking and whole-school literacy initiatives.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching English at secondary level

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience teaching A-Level English Language and/or Literature

• Experience leading literacy initiatives or enrichment activities

• Ability to contribute to creative writing debating or theatre programmes

• A proven track record of securing excellent student outcomes
