A high-achieving grammar school in Luton is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join its successful department from September. You will teach English across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering engaging and intellectually stimulating lessons that inspire confidence creativity and academic progress.

Students will study a broad range of texts including Shakespeare poetry prose drama and modern literature while developing analytical thinking interpretation creative writing and communication skills.

You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level English examinations supporting students in achieving excellent academic outcomes and progression to higher education.

You will work collaboratively within a successful English department committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching English at secondary level

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience teaching A-Level English

• Experience working in a grammar or high-achieving school setting

• Ability to contribute to literacy or extracurricular activities

• Strong examination preparation experience
