Our client is looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their school in Birmingham. The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for English and a desire to help students develop their reading writing analytical and communication skills.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging English lessons across the relevant key stages supporting students in developing the skills required to succeed academically while also encouraging a genuine appreciation of literature and language.

The successful teacher will be able to plan lessons that challenge students while providing appropriate support for those who require additional guidance. Effective questioning discussion and assessment will be important aspects of the role alongside the ability to create a classroom environment where students feel confident expressing their ideas.

The English department works collaboratively and is committed to developing consistent and effective approaches to teaching and learning. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to departmental planning enrichment activities and wider school initiatives.

• English Teacher with the ability to teach across the relevant key stages

• QTS or recognised formal teaching qualification

• Strong subject knowledge across English Language and/or Literature

• Ability to plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons

• Strong classroom management skills

• Experience using assessment and feedback to support progress

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Commitment to inclusive and adaptive teaching

• Legal ability to work within the UK
