DESCRIPTION:
Join our collaborative team as a Manufacturing Engineer III at Thermo Fisher Scientific where youll contribute to innovation and excellence in our manufacturing this role youll manage key projects to optimize production processes implement automation solutions and ensure the highest quality standards in our facilities. Working with cross-functional teams youll develop and improve manufacturing processes guide continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to new product introductions. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on products that help our customers make the world healthier cleaner and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced degree or Bachelors degree with progressive manufacturing engineering experience in a GMP/regulated environment.
Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering (Mechanical Industrial Electrical Chemical or related field)
Professional certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt PMP or similar preferred
Strong expertise in process optimization automation and continuous improvement methodologies
Experience with validation protocols and documentation (IQ OQ PQ)
Proficiency in statistical analysis and DOE (Design of Experiments)
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and PPI (Practical Process Improvement)
Experience with project management and capital equipment installations
Strong technical writing skills for SOPs protocols and engineering documentation
Expertise in CAD software (AutoCAD SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated success in root cause analysis and problem-solving
Experience with quality management systems and regulatory compliance (ISO GMP)
Strong ability to guide and mentor team members
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
Proficiency in English required
Experience working in clean room environments and wearing appropriate PPE as needed
Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
