As ourEngagement& ProjectOfficer(Energy & Environment) you will be at the heart ofdelivering our new Environment Strategies. A key function of the role will be leading environmentalengagementwith our residents communitygroupsand businesses to deliver real changethatenhancesthe healthwellbeingand prosperity ofour local communities.
What you will do
- Develop and deliver meaningful engagement to empower environmental action.
- Develop and deliver an environmentalcommunication plan to ensureregular outreach activities are planned and delivered.
- Provideexpertenvironmentaladvice( saving grant referrals).
- Support monitoringand evaluation of initiatives and projects.
- Build productive and collaborative relationships with internal and external teams.
- Help us celebrate success by developingand cascadingbest practice case studies.
What we are looking for
- A strong interest in the environment.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and inspire.
- Ability to build andmaintainrelationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- A fulldriverslicense and access to a car to support travel across Brentwood and Rochford.
- Flexible approach to hours including occasional out of hours working.
- A strong teamplayer.
