Employment Lawyer (Associate)

Location: Leeds

Salary: 70000 to 90000 bonus and benefits

Experience: 3 years PQE

Our client is looking to recruit an Associate Employment Lawyer into its Leeds team.

This role suits someone with a mix of contentious and non-contentious employment experience who enjoys variety wants to work closely with clients and is ready to take a bigger role on matters while continuing to develop in a supportive collegiate environment.

Youll join a leading Employment and Immigration practice advising prominent UK and international businesses on employment law and global mobility.

The work is broad and high quality including complex tribunal litigation whistleblowing and business protection issues and major projects such as outsourcing and restructuring exercises.

What Youll Be Doing

• Advising on a full range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters

• Supporting clients through complex tribunal claims and sensitive workplace issues

• Advising on strategic HR projects including restructures and outsourcing programmes

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships with meaningful client exposure from the outset

• Collaborating with colleagues across other practice areas and sector groups

• Taking a practical approach to continuous improvement including the use of technology to support efficient delivery

What Were Looking For

Essential

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales

• 3 years PQE with a combination of contentious and non-contentious employment experience

• Strong drafting skills and confident clear communication

• Commercial mindset and a client-focused approach

• Proactive organised and comfortable managing competing deadlines

Desirable

• Experience advising large corporate clients

• Interest in innovation and how legal technology can improve client service
