Location: Near York (hybrid)
Salary: 25000 to 32000 (depending on experience)

Our client is building something a bit different delivering big-firm expertise with a boutique human approach. They work with ambitious founders SMEs and high-growth businesses providing pragmatic legal support through fixed price projects and monthly subscriptions.
They are now looking for an ambitious Employment Paralegal to join the team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn develop and take on increasing responsibility within a supportive environment with ongoing training.
You will support the Employment team on a wide variety of matters acting predominantly for employers across both contentious and non-contentious work. You will get hands-on exposure to advisory work tribunal support drafting and employment elements of corporate transactions.
What Youll Be Doing
- Supporting the team on a broad range of employment law matters for employer clients
- Assisting with day-to-day advisory work including disciplinaries grievances performance management sickness absence redundancies restructures and exits
- Supporting Employment Tribunal matters including preparing bundles drafting chronologies witness statements schedules of loss instructions to counsel and liaising with clients throughout the process
- Drafting and reviewing employment documentation including contracts service agreements staff handbooks policies and settlement agreements
- Carrying out legal research and preparing practical commercially focused summaries
- Liaising directly with clients and helping to manage matters from instruction through to completion under supervision
- Supporting corporate transactions through employment due diligence and assisting with employment aspects of acquisitions disposals and investments
- Assisting with TUPE matters including business transfers outsourcing arrangements and workforce reorganisations
- Building strong client relationships and becoming a trusted part of the wider advisory team
- Working closely with colleagues across corporate commercial IP data protection and commercial property
- Supporting business development activity through events marketing initiatives and client education
What Were Looking For
- Previous experience in an employment law environment (paralegal or similar)
- Genuine interest in employment law and a proactive can-do approach
- Strong drafting written communication and attention to detail
- Confident with organisation and time management able to prioritise competing tasks
- Comfortable working as part of a team and using your own initiative
- Strong IT skills
