We are seeking aLicense Eligible Clinician forourEmergency Services Program!

Hours: 8:00 pm to 4:00 am Sunday through Thursday

Responsibilities & Duties for a License Eligible Clinician:

• Provide direct services in the following areas of concentration:
• Prescreening assessments for individuals requiring review for psychiatric hospitalization or admission to a crisis stabilization center
• Assist Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Officer with individuals requiring review for psychiatric hospitalization and crisis stabilization
• Face-to-face crisis stabilization assessments and treatment for individuals requiring review for home-based crisis services.
• Assist in facilitating referrals for individuals in need of medical detox program
• Crisis consultation to significant others
• Provide other secondary direct services in these approaches:
• Case management.
• Supportive individual counseling
• Family support counseling and education regarding mental illness
• Provide crisis intervention services including telephone and/or face to face crisis contact with mentally ill intellectually disabled substance abusers and/or dually diagnosed individuals.
• Respond to consumers behavioral emergencies and to aggressive behavior using agency-approved techniques.

Qualifications and Skills for aLicense Eligible Clinician:

• Masters Degree in a Human Services field (including Social Work Psychology Counseling or equivalent).
• One (1) year clinical experience in a mental health/substance abuse facility or similar setting.
• Valid Drivers License with acceptable DMV record at the time of employment and continuously thereafter.
• Virginia Certified Pre-screener required
