We now seek a Technical Director (Asset Replacement) to be based out of our London office.
Role Responsibilities
Takes Team Management and leadership role in the development anddesign and coordination of engineering project services. Assists the Directors with Business strategy andmanagement.
Carries out cost and profit diagnosis on projects including feasibilitystudies and preparation of project feeproposals
Working closely with clients and project team toestablishproject requirements
Reviews status advised by project personnel and external parties andmodifiesschedules or plans as. Prepares project reports for ManagementClientorothers.
Develops and specifies applications of controls instruments and operating systems for all building engineering servicespurposes
Surveys tests and reports on existing electrical/mechanicalinstallations
Fiscal and commercial management of projects to ensure they returnthe targetmargin
Leadership and hands on delivery of monitoring of constructionand installation onprojects
Liaising with existing clients toestablishlong term relationships andfuture upcomingprojects
Liaising with future client prospects and general businessdevelopment.
Specifies activities to ensure that manufacturing constructioninstallation and operational testing confirm to functional specifications and customer requirements
Represents Company at technical meetings with customersprofessional teams andcontractorsteams
Carries out engineering calculations to ensure drawings meet requiredrobust industry and legal standards
Hands on involvement in local office management in conjunction withother members of the senior managementteam
Support clients in tender and procurement of MEP contractors and MEP equipment.
Leads on the coordination of engineering services together with handson delivery of concept and detailsdesigns
Ensures risk and performance monitoring analysis takes placethrough effective systems of internal control anddelegation
Mentoring and development of younger members of the engineeringteam
Production of technical white papers to promote the technical capabilitiesof RED
- Hands on involvement in the sector management team in conjunction with other members of theteam
- Surveys and due diligence reports of existing datacentres
- Presenting technical papers at industry events where the opportunityarises
- Takes a holistic view in the selectionand application of engineeringconcepts and solutions
- Support the delivery of projects in accordance withthe expectations ofthe RED Project Delivery Process from a Project Management Financial Management QA/QC and Technical Reviewperspective.
