An Outstanding Secondary School in Nottingham is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Economics Teacher to join its successful Business and Economics Department. The role would suit a passionate teacher who can inspire students to understand economic theory and apply it to current affairs and real-world situations. Economics teaching opportunities in Nottingham commonly include GCSE and A-Level teaching with strong emphasis on analytical skills and examination preparation.

• Plan and deliver engaging Economics lessons across KS4 and KS5

• Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A-Level examinations

• Develop analytical evaluative and critical-thinking skills

• Use current economic events to enrich classroom learning

• Assess and monitor student progress

• Provide constructive feedback and support

• Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement

• Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment activities

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Strong subject knowledge in Economics

• Experience teaching Economics at secondary level

• Confidence teaching KS4 and KS5

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• A genuine passion for Economics and education
