Economics Teacher

A well-established secondary school in Manchester is seeking a committed and knowledgeable Economics Teacher to join a collaborative and well-structured Social Sciences faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Economics across KS4 and KS5 ensuring high-quality teaching that develops students understanding of microeconomics macroeconomics and applied economic concepts. Lessons should be well-planned engaging and appropriately differentiated to meet the needs of all learners.

The role requires strong classroom practice effective assessment strategies and the ability to use data to inform planning and intervention. The ability to prepare students for external examinations and promote high academic outcomes is essential.

You will also be expected to contribute to departmental planning assessment moderation and the development of curriculum materials. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential.

Requirements

Previous teaching or relevant instructional experience in Economics at KS4 and KS5

Formal teaching qualification with QTS (PGCE or equivalent)

Strong subject knowledge in Economics

Strong organisational and communication skills

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
