An innovative and ambitious secondary school and sixth form in Walsall is seeking an inspiring Economics Teacher to join their successful Business & Social Sciences department ASAP. Economics is a rapidly growing subject within the sixth form attracting high-calibre students keen to explore real-world fiscal policy microeconomics macroeconomics and global markets. This role involves delivering high-quality A Level instruction that equips students with analytical rigour and critical evaluation skills. Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging high-impact Economics lessons at Key Stage 5 (A Level) with potential contributions to GCSE Business Studies.
Foster deep subject comprehension data interpretation skills and economic reasoning among students.
Support students aiming for higher education degrees in Economics Finance and Business Management including Russell Group pathways.
Lead or support co-curricular opportunities such as student enterprise clubs economics essay competitions and visiting speaker workshops.
Key Requirements
Qualification: Qualification Institution Dates (e.g. QTS / PGCE Awarding Institution Year)
Degree in Economics Finance or a related discipline.
Recognized teaching qualification with QTS (or QTLS).
Strong subject expertise across microeconomic and macroeconomic concepts at A Level.
Legal right to work in the UK.
