THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

The Economic Crime Oversight Function in Economic Crime Risk is looking for an Economic Crime Data & Co-ordination Manager based out of Milton Keynes or Glasgow.

This role will be accountable for supporting oversight challenge and guidance to ensure that economic crime risks are identified managed and mitigated effectively across the business in collaboration with the wider function and relevant business areas. Contribute to strengthening the banks control environment supporting informed decision-making and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policy expectations. Support the organisation to manage economic crime risk proactively while supporting safe and sustainable business growth.

  • Economic Crime Risk Management and Oversight: Is responsible for supporting the execution of the Functions Strategy and priorities. This will require working collaboratively across teams and disciplines as required.

  • Co-ordination of the Economic Crime Risk Oversight Strategy: Responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination of priority cross functional initiatives including the implementation and embedding of the Functions oversight strategy and engagement model.

  • Co-ordination of data and analytical activity: Responsible for interacting and co-ordinating cross-functional data and analytics initiatives working closely with the Advanced Technology team to deliver an integrated data-led approach to Economic Crime Risk oversight.

Professional Experience:

  • Good understanding of the financial services industry the political and economic environment and Santander strategy and initiatives. (Required)

  • Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory framework of UK financial services industry trends and best practice (Required)

  • Strong process facilitation project management and analytical skills (Required)

  • Ability to interpret and articulate regulation statute and guidance in a business context delivering complex information in a way that is simple and easy to understand. (Required)

  • Experience of working in Economic Crime Risk Oversight across different aspects of financial services / financial markets (Required)

  • Ability to quickly absorb and understand complex data / issues to extract results and to present key conclusions. (Required)

Education:

  • Relevant academic/regulatory qualification (Preferred)

  • Post graduate qualification/experience (Preferred)

  • Strong experience in Line 2 Economic Crime Risk Function (Required)

Languages:

  • English (Required)

  • Able to apply commerciality and judgement from a regulatory perspective to internal and market information. (Required)

  • Excellent attention to detail interpersonal and problem-solving skills (Required)

  • Excellent analytical interpretation influencing and communication skills; with an ability to communicate and network effectively to influence management and external parties (Required)

  • Demonstrated experience in developing relations with senior stakeholders. (Required)

Salary Range:
54318.00 - 81478.00 per annum (depending on experience)

This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills experience qualifications and location.
